Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your Jen-Ken Kiln purchase.

How long does it take to ship my kiln?

Most Jen-Ken kilns are built to order. Standard lead times typically range from 4 to 6 weeks, though this can vary depending on the model and current production demand.

What are the electrical requirements for a home kiln?

Electrical needs vary by model. Smaller glass kilns often run on a standard 120V household outlet, while larger ceramic kilns typically require a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a professional electrician.

Do you offer a warranty on your products?

Yes, all new Jen-Ken kilns come with a limited manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Specific terms depend on the model and controller type.

How is the kiln delivered to my home?

Smaller kilns ship via standard ground carriers, while larger units are shipped via freight on a pallet. Freight deliveries usually include a lift-gate service to drop the kiln at your curbside or driveway.

Can I return my kiln if I change my mind?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging. Please note that return shipping costs and a restocking fee may apply to large equipment.

Which controller should I choose: Manual or Digital?

Digital controllers allow for precise temperature ramping and hold times, which is ideal for glass fusing and complex crystalline glazes. Manual kilns are more budget-friendly and rely on switches or kiln sitters.
